Some surgical environments include highly specialised equipment which uses x-rays, lasers or even Radiation. Containing this equipment appropriately is essential to ensure the environment outside isn’t at risk, while still being able to observe when necessary.
To combat this issue, Vistamatic offers hand-crafted vision panels with either lead glass or with a laser shield.
Hand-crafted vision panels
For X-ray or radio-therapy units, one of the external layers of a standard vision panel, typically made up with 6mm toughened glass, is replaced with a specialist lead glass. Vistamatic offers Code 4 lead glass (2.1mm L/E @ 150Kv) as standard but all other Codes are available upon request.
For environments where laser protection is needed, panels are manufactured with either a laser polymer shield attached to one of the external layers of glass or with a laser vinyl* banding instead of the standard sandblast finish. The standard laser polymer offered is Green, which protects against all the most common types of medical laser.
